1. Quotation

Our quotation excludes insurance, customs duties, port charges, and any government fees unless specified.

The quotation is valid for seven days from issuance. Additional charges may apply if work commences late, or costs change due to factors beyond our control like currency fluctuations or delays.

2. Insurance

We maintain the basic vehicle insurance required by law.

Customers must arrange transit insurance for their goods. We can assist upon request, but it's separate from this agreement and subject to policy terms.

3. Work Not Included

Unless agreed in writing, we do not disconnect/reconnect appliances, lay floor coverings, move items from lofts without safe access, or handle garden furniture assembly.

Special tools beyond standard equipment must be provided by the customer or arranged in advance.

4. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring goods are in transit, obtaining necessary permits, being present during removal, ensuring nothing is left behind or taken in error, and confirming the delivery of goods.

Proper protection for goods in unoccupied premises, stabilizing appliances, and defrosting/cleaning refrigerators is also your responsibility.

5. Ownership

You warrant ownership of goods or have the authority to enter this agreement on behalf of the owner.

6. Cancellation & Refund

Cancellations made within 24 hours of job commencement may incur a cancellation fee. Rescheduling is possible without a fee if done earlier.

7. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of services. We accept cash, major credit cards (surcharge applicable), and company bank cheques.

Late payments may incur fees and interest. Non-payment may result in legal action or withholding of services.

8. Liability for Loss or Damage

We limit liability for damage during loading/unloading. Damage must be reported before completion of the job.

Options for repair or compensation are available for damage caused by our negligence during loading/unloading.

9. Damage to Premises

Our liability for damage to property other than goods is limited to repairing the damaged area if caused by our negligence.

We are not liable for damage if goods are moved against our advice.

10. Exclusions

We exclude liability for certain types of damage including fire/explosion, inadequate packing, and damage to specific items like glass/mirrors and perishables.

Delays caused by external factors are also excluded from liability.

11. Time Limits for Claims

You must tell us about any damage within 7 days of the move.

12. Delays in Transit

If there are delays that aren't our fault, we're not responsible for them.

13. Keeping Your Goods

If you don't pay us, we can keep your belongings until you do. You'll have to cover the costs.

14. Using Other Companies

We might hire another company to help with your move, but these terms still apply.

15. How We Move Your Things

We decide how to move your items unless we agree on a specific way in writing.

16. Selling Your Goods

If you don't pay us and we give you three months' notice, we can sell or get rid of your belongings.

17. Toll Charges

You're responsible for paying any tolls we have to pay during the move.

18. Respecting Our Staff

We won't tolerate any abuse toward our staff. If there's a problem, we may stop working and you'll still have to pay.

19. When We Might Say No

We can refuse a job if you gave us the wrong information, if it's not safe, or if your behavior isn't acceptable.

20. Laws That Apply

These terms are based on New Zealand law, and any disagreements will be handled in Auckland courts.
